Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 338 WIN MAG, MFG: 1960, SN: 46670, Bolt Action Rifle, 25'' barrel. The custom bird's eye maple Monte Carlo style stock, is excellent, with great fit & contour in the hand & at the shoulder. It features a flat pistol grip, raised cheek, redwood accents on the grip cap & forend tip & diamond inlays in the belly of the forend & pistol grip. The stock has wonderful bird's eyes in the stock & both rippled & tiger stripe grain as it proceeds down the length of the stock. The stock does show use with thinning finish & minor contusions & surface scrapes. The metal blue finish has been restored to a deep high luster blue rating to 95% overall. Bore is very good, with some roughness amongst strong rifling. The receiver holds a pair of 1'' scope rings, while the barrel has a filled rear dovetail & no front sight provisions. Buttstock carries a Pachmayr White-line ventilated recoil pad. Sling studs. A fantastic looking & customized Pre-64 model 70. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
