Asfa Ankara K.Kale, Model M38, CAL: 8mm Mauser, MFG: 1944, S/N: 161301, Bolt Action Rifle, 28'' Barrel. The pistol grip wood stock is good, displaying chips, scratches, dings, & overall wear from age/use. There is a hairline crack on upper handguard in sight groove. The metal finish rates 80% overall with wear & rust spots. The front top of receiver is marked, ''T C'', ''AS FA'', ''ANK ARA'', ''K.KALE, ''1944'', ''Crescent Moon/ Stars'', left front side of receiver is marked with S/N, end of barrel is marked with importer marks. Bore is very good, dark with proud rifling. The barrel holds a barleycorn front sight, rear V-notch tangent rear sight marked 1 to 20. Buttstock carries a military style buttplate. A good shooter.
