Ishapora. Model: SMLE 2A. CAL: 7.62x51 . MFG: 1965. S/N: A48397. Bolt action Rifle. 25'' Barrel. The semi-pistol grip wooden stock is very good with two possible arsenal stock repairs on upper handguard behind rear sight, age/oil darkening & very light wear. The receiver metal finish rates 65% with spots worn gray & barrel rates 95% with almost no wear. right side of wrist is marked with Ashoka stamp, ''RIFLE'', ''7.62MM2A'', ''R.F.I.'', ''1965''. Left side of receiver is MARKED, ''INDIA'', & import marks, S/N matched bolt. Bore is good dark with roughness but with proud rifling. Front blade sight with protective wings, rear U-notch tangent sight marked 2 to 20. Military aluminum trapdoor buttplate. Bottom sling swivels, comes with period sling. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 200 to 400
