Colt, Model 1911 (With Ithaca Gun CO. 1911A1 slide), CAL: 45, MFG: 1912, SN: 14440, Semi Auto Pistol, 5'' barrel. The left side of the slide is marked in two lines ''Ithaca Gun Co. '', the left side of the frame is marked ''UNITED STATES PROPERTY'', followed by ''44'' & ''E.E.C'' in front of the grip. The right side of the frame is marked with the full SN. The upgraded Crimson Trace Laser grips are excellent. The red dot laser works perfectly. The military parkerized metal finish is very good, with some areas thinning & toning to a brown patina. Bore is excellent & bright, with crisp rifling. The barrel holds a small blade front sight & the frame holds a fixed square notch rear sight Both have white paint added to them. Comes with standard checkered brown plastic 1911 grips & 3 additional mags, This 1911 is a pre A1 frame that has a later A1 trigger & a later A1 slide, possible WW2 arsenal repair. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
