Winchester, Model 55 TAKE-DOWN, marked 30 WCF, MFG: 1925, SN: 2746, Lever Action Take-down Rifle, 24 1/4'' Tapered round barrel, 1/2 mag., The original walnut stocks are very good & solid, with most of the original finish worn from the forend & wearing thin or flaking on the stock. There are scuffs, scrapes & contusions, along with one small chip at the right corner of the wrist & receiver along the top tang. The metal blue finish has worn mostly gun metal gray, with some remains of original blue in protected areas. Bore is excellent. Rifle fitted with a tang sight which has lost its spring, a folding leaf rear sight with a broken leaf & longer blade front sight. Stock carries a metal buttplate. This 2nd year of production model 55 rifle is one only 20,500 model 55 rifles manufactured. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1800
