Standard Arms, Model M, .30 REM Cal., MFG: 1909-11, SN: 678, Pump Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel, Philadelphian Morris F. Smith had a number of firearms patents, some of which were rolled into the patent number for this unique pump rifle. The original straight grip wood stock is excellent & solid. The stock carries the original wood finish, with a few minor scratches or dings. The forearm & buttplate are of an elaborate cast brass, which were supposedly manufactured & provided to the Standard Arms Co. from the famous House of Tiffany foundry. The factory metal blue finish on the barrel rates 75%, 85% on the receiver & 20% pump tube, with splotchy loss on the barrel & some pitting. Bore is good, with some roughness amongst strong rifling. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & Lyman half moon blade front sight, with ivory bead. Sling studs. Interesting & rare vintage pump rifle, with less than 8,000 total produced. Any Standard Arms rifle is fairly rare, but an all original example in high condition is very rare & collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
