Standard Arms, Model M, .25 REM Cal., MFG: 1909-11, SN: 1402, Pump Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel, Philadelphian Morris F. Smith had a number of firearms patents, some of which were rolled into the patent number for this unique pump rifle. The original straight grip wood stock is very good & solid. The stock carries about 50% of the original thinning wood finish, with some oil staining minor scratches, scrapes or dings. The forearm & buttplate are of an elaborate cast brass, which were supposedly manufactured & provided to the Standard Arms Co. from the famous House of Tiffany foundry. The factory metal blue finish on the barrel rates 70%, while the receiver & pump tube have worn mostly gun metal gray, with patchy remains of brown patina. Bore is good, with some roughness amongst strong rifling. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & Marbles no. 6 blade front sight. A fairly rare vintage pump rifle, with less than 8,000 total produced. Although used, not an abused original & collectible example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 750 to 1500
