Winchester, Model 63 Carbine, .22 LONG R. SUPER SPEED & SUPER-X Cal., MFG: 1933, SN: 247, Semi-Auto Action Rifle, Likely a first week or first month production gun. Has the rarer early 20'' carbine length tapered round barrel. The 20'' barrels were discontinued in 1936 when the 23'' barrel length was implemented. The original factory flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, despite numerous small blemishes, contusions, scratches & chips along the edge of the pistol grip & buttend. The stocks retain the majority of the original finish. The original metal blue finish is 95% on the barrel, 85% on the receiver, with areas of thinning loss toning a bit plum. Bore is excellent. Fitted with a large disk aperture tang sight, while barrel carries an adjustable rear & small blade front sight. Factory metal buttplate. A very nice & original early production semi-auto. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2500
