Tokyo Arsenal, Model: Type 38, Cal: 6.5 x 50mmSR, MFG: 1906-33, S/N: 909788, Bolt Action Rifle. 31'' Barrel. The semi pistol grip wood stock is very good with scratches, chips, dents, gouges & wear from use/age, 2 1/2'' crack at wrist emanating from lower tang on both sides of stock, Butt plate is proud to wood at toe. The metal finish rates 88% overall with spots of light rust speckling, patina, & spots worn gray. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N & arsenal stamp, left side of barrel marked with triangle in circle stamp & ''S'', top front of receiver is marked with worn, faint chrysanthemum, ''Type 38'' In Japanese, top rear of receiver is marked with triangle in circle stamp & circle stamp, magazine floor plate & trigger guard has rust, S/N mismatched bolt. Bore is very good with light roughness. Front Barleycorn sight, V-notch Ladder rear sight marked 4 to 24. Metal Butt plate with rust & brown patina. Bottom sling swivels, missing cleaning rod.
