Colt, Frontier Six Shooter (Model 1878), CAL: .44WCF, MFG: 1882, SN: 7604, Double Action Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.''. The left side of the barrel is marked ''COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER''. The markings appear to be modern restamp, with an acid etched side panel. The left side of the trigger guard is marked 44 CF & the bottom of the barrel is marked ''44''. The full SN can be found on the butt, ahead of the lanyard loop. The modern replica Rampant Colt checkered plastic grips are excellent. The metal has fully worn to gun metal grey, with areas of thin brown patina & dark brown spots from rust speckling. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds a blade front sight. Lanyard swivel loop present. Cylinder has a bit of play when cocked. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1200 to 2500
