Moore's Pat Fire Arms Co, Teat-Fire Pistol, CAL: 32 Teat-Fire, MFG: 1864-70, SN: 12678, Single Action Front-Loading Revolver, 3 1/4'' barrel. The bird's head wood grips are excellent. There are contusions, scrapes & spots of flaking finish. The frame & barrel housing display simple floral engravings. The rear edge of the cylinder is marked ''D. WILLIAMSONS PATENT / JANUARY 5, 1864''. The barrel, cylinder & hammer are all fully worn to metal grey, with a thin brown patina. The brass frame is very good, with overall light wear & an aged patina. Bore is good, with consistent pitting. The barrel holds a worn brass blade front sight. Hook extractor is not present. Of the 30,000 of these revolvers produced, 20,000 were made without the hook extractor. Comes with a single 32 Teat-Fire cartridge. This particular pistol is paired with a box of ammunition in our Rifle/Pistol category. To view the ammo box, please go to lot number 30016 in our current auction.
