FANTASTIC DELUXE Marlin Model 1893 TAKE-DOWN, CAL 30-30, MFG: 1898 (Antique), SN: 173660, Lever Action Rifle, 26 1/8'' 1/2 Octagon 1/2 Round barrel, 1/2 mag. The deluxe checkered & scalloped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent. The stock has an interesting alteration that was professionally executed. The buttplate was replaced with aperiod 3/4'' thick hard rubber example, with a unique metal toe & a diamond shape metal inlay that extends from the toe to the lower screw. This alteration has lengthend the LOP from the typical 13'' to the desired custom length of 13 5/8''. Craftmanship is excellent! The majority of the finish on the stock & forend appears original, with some toughup in the area of the buttend likely done during installation of the cusomized buttplate. The checkering is excellent & the stocks display wonderful grain. Overall appearance of the socks is excellent, with few minor contusions & light handling marks. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag rates 95%. The case-hardend receiver, lever & hammer all display wonderful case-colors. Bore is excellent. Rifle fitted with Lyman flip-up tang, while the barrel carries a Lyman two leaf folding rear sight & a Lyman ivory bead folding globe front sight. This is a wonderful antique deluxe 1893 take-down, which rates overall excellent & is highly collectable.* No FFL Req - Value: 7000 to 10000
