VERY RARE Marlin Model 1895, CAL 50-110, MFG: 1896, SN: 134652, Lever Action Rifle, 28 1/4'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. Early second year rifle. The 50-110 was not a cataloged caliber for the 1895. The rifle would had to be special ordered from the custom shop & while other 50-110 examples have come to auction over the last 20 years, there could not have been many produced. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, carrying the original factory finish & some protective oils. They displaying several small nicks, scratches & contusions. The right wrist carries a small rectangular, inlaid & pinned brass plate, unknown purpose. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag has toned to a gray/brown patina, with 50% coverage. The case-hardened receiver, lever & hammer have all toned mostly gun metal gray, with a thin layer of brown patina. Bore is excellent. Barrel carries an adjustable rear & blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. An overall excellent & early 2nd yr example in the rare 50-110 caliber.* Antique, No FFL Req - Value: 4000 to 7000
