Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 30 GOV'T06 (30-06), MFG: 1940, SN: 30308, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' tapered round barrel. Thethe custom deluxe checked & capped pistol grip walnut stock is excellent, with a darker wood forend tip. The stock has excellent grain, with sharp checkering & a few minor handling marks or light contusions to the finish. The original metal blue finish rates 97% overall. Bore is very good, with strong rifling. The receiver carries a couple of scope blocks, while the barrel holds a cutoff rear sight that functions as a blank & a front sight which has had the blade ground off so not to interfer with the optics of the previously mounted scope. The buttstock carries a Decelerator solid recoil pad. Sling provisions. A very nice cutomized rifle in a common hunting caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
