Description

OUTSTANDING, German, 3-Barrel Drilling, CAL: 16x16x9.3x72R, MFG: 1910, SN: 15070, Break Action Combo Gun, 27 5/8'' barrels. Top barrels have a roll stamp that reads in a circular fashion ''KRUPP FLUSS STAHL'', with ''PRIMA'' in the middle of the words. The sides of the barrels next to the receiver are marked ''NITRO'' with proof marks. The bottom of the barrels carry multiple proof marks, caliber markings, the full SN & manufacture date. The original, checkered & capped pistol grip stock, with beaded cheek, is excellent. There are minor handling marks to the high gloss finish. The stock has an inlaid bullet trap, with spring loaded gate, allowing four additional cartridges to be carried. The metal blue finish on the barrels rates 99%. The receiver is case-hardened, retaining very faint case-colors in the crevices. The break lever is blued, with finish remaining in protected areas. The entirety of the receiver displays beautiful & intricate deep relief engraving, with a buck/doe game scene on the left & a cow/bull on the right side, surrounded by floral engraving. Similar floral/ornamental engraving can be found on the barrel ends, trigger guard, break lever, bullet trap plate, forend break lever, safety button & screws. The shotgun bores are excellent & bright, with some light visible wear. The rifle bore is excellent & bright, with small intermittent spots of pitting amongst strong rifling. The upper tang holds a switch to activate the flip-up sight on the matted rib & the rib also holds a beaded blade front sight. Stock carries a ventilated brown rubber recoil pad. Sling loops present on barrel & ahead of cartridge plate. A beautiful hand crafted German Drilling from the early 1900's.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
