A. Schwandner, Boxlock Shotgun, CAL: 16GA, MFG: N/A, SN: 1784.29, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 29 1/8'' barrel. The original, checkered straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid. The bottom of the stock has been lightly sanded & refinished, with a couple areas of fill & touch up. One area being on the sides of the lower tang & one at the toe. There is a small silver shield initial plate that is marked ''HLW''. The original metal blue finish on the barrels rates 85% overall, with overall wear & the carry points beginning to wear to metal grey. The receiver is case-hardened, mostly worn to metal grey, with remnants of case-colors remaining in heavily protected areas. The receiver, barrel ends, break lever, trigger guard, forend release lever & screws are all beautifully hand engraved with ornamental scroll work. Bores are excellent & bright. The solid rib holds a small ivory mid-rib bead & gold tone front bead. Stock carries a weave checkered buttplate. Double triggers.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
