Italian, Type I Rifle, CAL: 6.5x50mmSR, MFG: 1938-39, S/N: L9417, Bolt Action Rifle, 30 1/2'' barrel. The Military semi-pistol grip wood stock is good, stock has been cut down & re-shaped, stock has contusions, scratches, scrapes, nicks & dings from use/age. The metal finish rates 35% overall, spots of thinned bluing & rust. The magazine floorplate, spring, & follower is missing. The left side of barrel is marked with S/N. Bore is good, bright with strong rifling & pitting. The barrel holds a barleycorn front sight & V-notch ladder rear sight marked 5 to 24. Buttstock carries a military style buttplate, with brown patina & cleaned pitting. These rifles were made by the Italians under contact for the Japanese navy. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 100 to 200
