Zbrojovka Brno, Model: VZ 24 Romanian Contract, Cal: 7.92x57mm, MFG: 1938, S/N: 1282, bolt action rifle, 23 1/2'' Barrel, The semi-pistol grip wood stock is very good with scratches, nicks, dings, dents, & wear from use/age, stock appears to have been forced S/N matched, likely a arsenal repair, left side of stock by buttplate stamped with S/N & ''ER 26617'' with one line through it, right side of stock has a unmarked unit disc, The metal finish rates 40% with areas of thinned bluing showing gray, left side of receiver is marked ''CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA,A.S,BRNO'', ''VZ.24'', ''E3'' faint marking ''38'', S/N, top of receiver is marked with ground down Rampart Lion crest, with edges of crest still remaining, end of barrel is stamped with importer marks, S/N mismatched bolt. Bore is very good, strong rifling with light roughness, has been counter bored. Barleycorn front sight with protective ears & white paint added to post, tangent V-notch rear sight marked 3 to 20 & has two white dots of paint added. Metal buttplate that's worn gray. Bottom & side sling swivels, missing cleaning rod. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 250 to 500
