Winchester Model 1895, CAL: 405 WCF, MFG: 1910, SN:68412, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' round tapered barrel. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, with much of the original factory finish. The there is a small chip at the buttend edge of the right side of stock & a 2 1/2'' grain crack at the forend tip. There are a number of small contusions or surface nicks. Ebony insert at tip of forearm. The original factory metal blue finish is 70% overall. Bore is very good. Receiver was previously tapped for a scope mount & carries two filler screws. The receiver also carries a Williams receiver sight, blank filled rear dovetail & period front sight. Stock carries a replaced Winchester marked rubber buttplate which is a bit ill fitting. There is a sling loop in the stock. Comes with a new box of Hornady 300 gr ammo. A vintage & desirable 405 caliber 1895 ready for the hunt. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
