Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 338 WIN MAG, MFG: 1960, Pre-64 Production, SN: 467683, Bolt Action Rifle, 25'' barrel. The 338 Win Mag caliber is amongst the most desirable of the Pre-64 model 70's amongst collectors. The original checkered & flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, as professionally restored. The stock has a fantastic finish, with beautiful wood grain & virtually no handling marks. The metal blue finish rates 97% overall, with a bit more thinning to the floorplate. Bore is excellent, with strong rifling. The barrel holds a flip-up leaf rear sight & hooded blade front sight. Open factory holes from previous scope mount. Buttstock carries a Winchester, solid recoil pad. 13 1/4'' LOP over pad. Sling loops. A very nice example of a large caliber Model 70, ready for your next big game hunt.
