Winchester, Model 68, 2nd Issue, Marked .22 SHORT, LONG & LONG RIFLE Cal., MFG. 1934-46, SN: None, Bolt Action, Single shot rifle, 27'' round barrel, This rifle is the 2nd issue having the heavier (non grooved) stock, with blunt forend & the sunk forend screw. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, as cleaned & re-oiled. There are numerous minor scuffs, scrapes & contusions. Metal blue finish is a mix of original blue & added finish with 90% coverage. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with the correct Winchester wheel adjusting, aperture receiver sight & later style ramped& hooded blade sight. Buttstock carries a Winchester checkered plastic buttplate. A vey nice later 2nd issue 68. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 200 to 400
