Browning FN Model A-5, CAL: 16GA, MFG: 1928 (Belgium), SN: 63475, Semi-Auto Shotgun, Choke: Full, 2 3/4'', 27 1/2'' Matted solid rib barrel. This is an early Pre-WWII shotgun with the plain receiver that does not exhibits the later cheveron engravings. The original checkered & round pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, with excellent original finish displaying very few tiny handling marks. The original metal blue finish rates 98% overall. Receiver carries the Fabrique Nationale Address stamping on the receiver. Barrel stamped ''BROWNING ARMS COMPANY OGDEN UTAH'' & ''FULL 16 SPECIAL STEEL'' on left & ''MADE IN BELGIUM'' on the right. FN prodution stampings are on the barrel, receiver & bolt. Bore is excellent. The rib holds a single front silver bead. Buttstock carries The original FN buttplate. Matching SN'd screws on sides of receiver. LOP: 14 1/23''. An overall excellent Pre-war gun & very collectible as a 16 ga. ribbed example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2000
