Kokura Arsenal, Type 38, CAL: 6.5x50MMSR, MFG: 1906-35, S/N: 00492430, Bolt Action Rifle, 31'' Barrel. The semi-pistol grip stock is very good, displaying contusions, nicks, dings & scracthes, with age/oil darkening. There are Japanese letter cartouches on left side of stock by buttplate. The metal finish on the receiver rates 70%, with speckling & spotting & the metal finish on the barrel rates 75% with rust speckling wear. Front sight, barrel bands, sling swivels, magazine floorplate, trigger guard & trigger have rust speckling & brown patina. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, Kokura Arsenal stamp. Top front of receiver is marked with chrysanthemum with two circles through it, Type 38 in Japanese, missed matched bolt. Bore is good, dark with roughness with thinned rifling, more rifling wear at muzzle. Barleycorn front sight, V-notch ladder rear sight marked 5 to 24. Military buttplate that's gray/brown patina & bottom screw ripped out the wood its screwed into and buttplate now comes off at that point, metal part In front of top screw is bent up, Missing Cleaning rod.
