Nagoya Arsenal. Model: Type 99 Long. CAL: 7.7x58mm. MFG: 1939-45. S/N: 4549. Bolt action Rifle. 31'' Barrel. The semi-pistol grip stock is very good with scratches, dings, gouges & wear from use/age, small cartouche on bottom of stock between lower tang & sling swivel. The metal finish rates 80% on receiver with grind marks, light wear & light scratches, the barrel metal finish rates 90 % with light wear. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, Nagoya Arsenal stamp, top front of receiver has had the chrysanthemum ground off & type 99 In Japanese, Missed match bolt. Bolt is missed matched from S/N. Bore is good, bright with thinned rifling & more worn rifling near muzzle. front protected barleycorn sight, rear ladder aperture sight marked 3 to 15, has folding wings marked 1 to 3. bottom sling swivels. This is a scarce early production rifle where they did not make them short rifles yet & were the same length of the earlier type 38 Rifles. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 200 to 400
