Japanese. Model: Matchlock Gun. CAL: 12mm. MFG: 16th century. S/N: N/A. Muzzleloader matchlock smoothbore. 39 1/4'' barrel. The wood stock is excellent with light scratches & wear, stock has multiple carved & inlayed brass decorative pieces of cloud, flowers animals & other ornamental pieces on back of bottom & sides of stock & holes have been drilled through stock for parts of the flowers. The metal finish rates 10 % with metal mostly gray or having patina, barrel is engraved with decretive lines depicting clouds or waves, brass inlayed depictions of samurai, scrolls, trees/plants & a tower. Bore is very good with some roughness/pitting. Front barleycorn sight, rear groove sight. Brass buttplate. All brass matchlock parts, has ramrod. A rare Extremely old & beautiful gun would make a nice piece for any collection. Antique & muzzleloader No FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 6000
