British Enfield, Mark II, CAL: 476 Enfield, MFG: 1882-89, Double Action Revolver, S/N: N/A, 5 7/8'' barrel. The checkered wood grip is very good, with minor contusions & normal wear to the finish. The checkering is smoothing in areas & the finish has dulled. The vinatage high quality & high lust refinish to the metal is ratained at 50%, with areas worn to metal grey. Also, spotting & speckling & some worn areas toned to a brown patina. Stampings have been thinned from buffing preceeding reblue. Bore is excellent, with very minor speckling. The barrel holds an elevated half moon front sight & the frame has an integrated groove. The grip is held by an oval buttcap, with a lanyard loop. Checkered hammer. When you open the action, the cylinder slides forward on its axis, ''ejecting'' the empty cartridge cases in the cylinder. Due to loaded cartridges being slightly longer, they do not fall out when this operation is performed. After individual removal, the revolver would then be closed again & the right side loading gate opened to allow new cartridges to be loaded. A unique system & a fairly rare collectible in fine condition. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
