High-Standard, Model S-101 ''Supermatic'', CAL: 22LR, MFG: 1956, SN: 520794, Semi-Auto Pistol, Original High Standard barrel has been cut down to 4 1/2'' barrel, leaving an amateur flat muzzle crown. Approximately 38,000 model 101 Supermatics produced from 1954 to 57. The checkered brown plastic grips are very good, with some edge chipping at the base of left grip. The metal blue finish rates 90% overall, with some light wear at the muzzle of the barrel. Some additional wear/light scratches around trigger guard & at frame above trigger guard. The slide has been filed at the edge where slide stop lever meets slide, possibly as a functional repair. Barrel has rail for barrel weights to be attached, with no barrel weights. The frame contains serrations on the front & back sections of grip for added retention. Bore is excellent & bright with clear rifling. Factory adjustable rear sight & fixed blade front sight. Magazine is two-tone, with no Hi Standard markings. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
