CUSTOM Springfield Armory 1898 Krag Sporting Rifle, CAL: 30-40 Kraig, MFG: 1902, SN: 418520, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' original barrel. Stamped U.S. on receiver. The modern cheeked & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo wood stock is excellent, with several small scuff, minor contusions & other handling marks to the original finish, It has an ebony forend tip. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 70%, 50% on the magazine box, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray with some spotting. The receiver carries a Lyman adjustable receiver sight, The rear sight has been removed leaving open holes, while the original front blade sight remains intact. No markings on barrel. Bore is very good. Buttstock carries a Win-A-Mer solid recoil pad. Sling loops. A solidly built sporterized Krag rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
