Parker Bros, D2 Grade, CAL: 10 GA, MFG: 1884-85, Antique, SN: 40141, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 30'' Damascus barrels. The solid rib is marked ''PARKER BRO MAKERS. MERIDIAN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL''. The right flat of the floor plate is marked with a two line patent date & the left flat is marked ''2'' over the full SN & patent date. The left barrel flat is marked with a two line patent date & the full matching SN can be found on the forend, which still retains case-colors. ''PARKER BROS'' can be seen on the top of both lock plates. The American walnut checkered, capped pistol grip stocks are very good & solid. The checkering is smooth, alongside dings, scratches & scrapes. The stock has been lightly sanded, with protective oils added over time. There is a blank silver shield initial plate behind the tang The thumbprint Damascus finish on the barrels is still prominent, worn to a mix of metal gray & brown patina. The receiver, trigger guard, break lever, hammers & side plates have all fully toned to a brown patina. The left sidelock displays quail game scene & the right has a flying duck game scene. There a circle vignette with an engraving that's been worn smooth. The game scenes are accompanied by ornamental scroll on the receiver, side plates, break lever, hammers, trigger guard & forend metal components. Bores are good, consistently rough with light pitting. Solid rib holds a single front bead. Stock has a worn Parker hard rubber dogs head buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
