Ranger, Model 103-1, CAL: 12 GA, MFG: 1930's, SN: 2775, Break Action O/U Shotgun, 30'' barrels. The flat pistol grip & cheeked wood stocks are good, having been repaired, sanded & refinished. The belly of the stock split & has two screws/bolts holding it together. There are other contusions, scrapes & dings. The metal blue finish on the barrels rates 70%, with consistent thinning, worn to metal gray & thin brown patina. The receiver has worn to a mix of metal gray & brown patina. Bores are excellent, with visible striations. The barrel has a rear peep sight & blade front sight. Stock has a grooved black rubber buttplate that's worn. The Marlin Model 90, sold to Sears Roebuck were marked Ranger with a specific designation for each of the different gauges. The first Ranger's came out in 1936, and after WW II, (1945) the name was changed to J.C. Higgins. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
