Tula, M1895 Nagant Revolver, Cal: 7.62x38mmR, MFG: 1945, S/N: 189504810, Double action Revolver, 4 1/2'' barrel. The checkered wood grips are very good with light wear on edges of grips from use. The metal has been re-finished likely a arsenal refurb done after the war, the metal finish rates 95% overall with light nicks/wear on edges. Left side of frame is marked with the original Russian S/N ''EN769'', ''T'' in star, ''1945'', & other proof marks, right side of frame is marked with importer stamps & other proof marks, bottom of grip is stamped with faint proof marks. Bore is good, bright with consistent roughness & pitting In spots. Barrel holds a wedge front sight with a grooved U-notch rear sight. Bottom of grip has a lanyard loop. Comes with leather holster dated 1953 & cleaning rod. A unique revolver that cylinder moves forward when cocked to get a better gas seal to improve the bullet velocity, also the cartridge case extends past the bullet to help with the gas seal.
