Springfield Armory. Model: 1903. Cal: 30-06. : MFG:1918. S/N:883561. Bolt Action Rifle. 24'' Round Barrel. The straight wrist wooden stock is very good, with chip in back of stock by buttplate. There are scratches, dings & gouges from use & age. There is a cartouche on left side of stock above trigger, ''D.A.L.'' in rectangle, & a ''P'' in circle on bottom behind trigger guard. Barrel retains 85% finish, with light wear. Receiver retains 60% finish, with wear spots worn gray & brown patina. Front top of receiver is marked, ''U.S.'', ''SPRINGFIELD ARMORY'', ''MODEL 1903'', S/N, Top end of barrel is marked, ''S A'', flaming bomb, ''6-18'', ''A'', rear barrel band is marked ''U''. Bore is very good, with light wear. Front sight blade & rear windage & elevation adjustable U notch ladder sight, marked 4 to 27 on top. Military buttplate, with trapdoor. Sling & stacking loop. Action is tight & appears to function correctly. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1400
