Description

Indian, Toradar, CAL: .65, MFG: 1800's, S/N: N/A, Matchlock Muzzleloader, 60'' round barrel. The wood stock is good with brass plates on left & right side. The wood has contusions, scrapes, nicks & dings. The brass plates have engraved decorations. The barrel has toned to a brown patina, with a faint flower engraving on barrel by lock. Bore is poor with rust & pitting. The barrel holds a bead front sight & fixed aperture rear sight. Wire barrel bands. One rear sling mount, missing arm on matchlock. The Toradar is a South Asian designed matchlock that was copied by Indian armorers around the 15th century and soon after a distinctive local style would emerge which everyone would copy, it was the preferred firearm in India by many until the mid 1800s because of its simple & cheap design. Muzzleloader, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 1000
