Winchester, Model 71, CAL: 348 W.C.F., MFG: 1948, SN: 27300, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, Short Tang, 1/2 Mag. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are very good, with thinning wear & scrapes to the original finish. There are other scratches, scrapes & contusions. The factory metal blue finish is 85% on barrel, 70% on receiver, with most loss worn to metal gray on the belly & 90% on tube. The barrel holds the correct adjustable rear sight & ramped elevated hooded blade front sight. Bore is excellent & bright, with sharp rifling. The left side of the receiver is factory drilled & tapped for a receiver sight, with two filled screws. Stock carries the factory checkered metal buttplate. Sling swivels present.
