Colt, AR-15 SP1 Carbine, CAL: .223, MFG: mid 1980's, SN: SP199479, Semi Auto Carbine, 16'' barrel. The early 2nd Gen, 2 position slide collapsing synthetic stock & carbine handguard are excellent, displaying minor handling marks. The flat military style metal finish on barrel, receiver & surrounding metals rates 95%, with minor scuffs & scrapes. Bore is excellent & bright. Rifle carries the A1 sights. The barrel carries the A1 ''Birdcage'' flash hider & bayonet lug. No magazine. Early original Pre-ban Colt AR-15 Carbines are desirable by Colt collectors & enthusiasts.
