Winchester, Model 1890, 2nd Variation, CAL: 22 LONG, MFG: 1898 SN: 56145, Pump Action Rifle, 24 3/8'' Octagon barrel. The original straight grip wood stock & corncob style forend are excellent & solid. They carry the original finish thinning in areas of carry & display several minor contusions, dings & surface scrapes. The original metal blue finish on the barrel & mag remains at 90% coverage & has toned to a plum/brown patina as it thins. The case-hardened receiver has a mix of fading case colors & muted outlines. Bore is very good. The barrel holds a fixed rear sight & standard front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Smooth tight action.
