Description

Flobert Style Single Shot, CAL: 22 Flobert, MFG: Antique, SN: N/A, Single Shot Rifle, 24'' Octagon heavy barrel. Unique action which requires the hammer to be cocked to the rear, allowing the breech cover, which also houses the firing pin, to rotate upward & forward, this ejects a spent cartridge & makes available the breech for loading the next cartridge. The original hand checkered & round knob pistol grip wood stock is fair, with multiple attempted crack repairs at the wrist, left side of action & to the right of action to the forend tip. Stock is fairly solid, displaying other contusions, scratches & scrapes. Added oils & finish. The metal finish has fully toned to a brown patina, with rust pitting & speckling. Bore is dark, with nearly worn away rifling & rough rust pitting. The barrel has an open rear dovetail & holds a small blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth metal buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 100 to 300
