Parker Bros, Model GHE or Grade 2, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1906, SN: 137620, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 26 7/8'' Damascus barrels, with ejectors. The deluxe checkered & capped pistol grip higher quality American walnut stocks are very good, having been cleaned & displaying an added layer of finish over the original finish. They have wonderful grain & have minor surface scrapes & small contusions. There is a blank initial shield in the belly. The forend has an engraved metal inlaid tip. The Damascus pattern on the barrels is still prominent, on the worn to mostly gun metal gray finish, with a thin layer of brown patina. The case-hardened receiver has worn & faded silver, with remnants of case-color in protected areas. The receiver displays bird game scenes left, right & bottom, with additional simple scroll work. The trigger guard, break lever & forend release lever also display simple scroll engraving. Bores are very good & bright, with a bit more wear within the left barrel. The solid matted rib holds a single front bead. Stock carries a checkered & embossed Parker dog's head buttplate. At the time, this model & grade was popular amongst buyers that wanted a gun with more adornment, fit & finish, & was willing to pay the higher price to have the nicer gun.
