TWO of TWO, Matched Pair #889, Remington, Model 870 Wingmaster, CAL: 410 GA, MFG: 1977, SN: S067529H, Pump Action Shotgun, 25 1/8'' Ventilated barrel. This is one of Two shotguns originally marked & sold as a special edition set. This is the second shotgun of the serial number matched set, the first being in the previous lot. The checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, displaying a couple of very minor contusions & scrapes to the original finish. There is a spot of slight finish haze on the left side of stock from a rub. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 99% overall. The left side of the receiver is stamped ''MATCHED PAIR No. 889'' in gold lettering, next to the make & model. Bore is excellent, near mint. The ventilated rib holds a small silver mid-rib bead & the base of the missing ivory front bead. Buttstock carries a Remington grooved plastic buttplate. The outstanding qualities of this gun have made the Model 870 one of the best-selling, & most trusted shotguns of all time. See the previous lot for the first gun to this matching pair.
