Description

Strong Fire Arms Co, A. Dickerman Patent, CAL: 12GA, MFG: Late 1880's, SN: 829, Break Action Single Shot Shotgun, 30'' Damascus barrel. The round knob wood stock & checkered forend are good. The wrist of the stock has a brass insert, multiple cracks at the wrist & displays numerous other scratches, scrapes, contusions & dings. The damascus finish on the barrel is still visible, with intermittent spotting, toning to a brown patina. The receiver is coin silver, with spotting, toning to a brown patina & aged patina in protected areas. The entirety of the receiver is factory engraved, displaying an a array of ornamental scroll work, with vignettes on either side. The trigger guard, break lever & barrel end also display similar engravings. Bore is fair, dark & rough. The barrel holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a repaired, checkered buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 900
