Springfield. Model: 1863 Type 2. Cal: .58. MFG: 1864. S/N: N/A. Percussion Muzzle loader. 40'' round barrel. The straight wrist wooden stock is good with scratches, dents, ding, chips, gouges, stains & wear from use/age. Lock retains no case hardening & has worn to a gun metal gray with spots of patina, The barrel was not blued from factory & has rust speckling. Lock is marked with eagle, ''U.S. SPRINGFIELD'', ''1864'', Barrel is marked ''V'', ''P'' over eagle. Bore is fair, dark with pitting but still has visible but thinned rifling Barleycorn front sight, U-notch rear sight with flip up aperture & U-notch. Metal buttplate with ''US'' on upper tang. Rear sling swivel, comes with ram rod. Muzzle loader No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 500
