Springfield. Model: 1873. Cal: 45-70. MFG: 1883. S/N: 216284. Trapdoor Breech loader. 32 1/2'' Barrel. The straight wrist wooden stock is good, stock has been cut down, tight repaired crack at top of wrist that wraps around stock towards the receiver. Scratches, chips, dings, dents & wear from use/age, ''P'' in circle Cartouche on bottom of stock behind . Metal finish remain in protected areas with rest of metal worn to a gun metal gray or brown patina with rust speckling. Rear of receiver is marked with S/N, top of breech block is marked ''U.S. MODEL 1873'', left side of barrel is marked ''V'', ''P'' over eagle, ''P''. Bore is good with one spot of light pitting & light roughness. Hooded blade Front sight, V-notch tangent rear sight marked 100 to 6. Metal buttplate that's worn to a brown patina & has cleaned pitting, upper tang marked ''US''. No sling swivels. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 400
