Springfield Armory. Model: 1899 Carbine. Cal: 30-40 Krag. MFG: 1901. S/N: 309297. Bolt action Rifle. 22'' Barrel. The straight wrist pistol stock is excellent with minor scrapes & contusions. The metal finish rates 30 % on receiver with most parts turned to a gun metal gray, The metal finish on the barrel rates, 80% with spots of thinning bluing. Right side of receiver by bolt handle has been drilled & tapped with screws inside, left side of receiver is marked, ''U.S.'', ''MODEL 1899 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY.'' & S/N. Bore is very good, bright with light roughness. Front blade sight, rear V-notch & aperture sight marked 2 to 20. Metal trapdoor buttplate worn gray & with patina. Bottom sling swivels. A Excellent Krag carbine. FFL Or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
