Colt 1849 Pocket Pistol, CAL: 31, MFG 1861, SN: 207808, Single Action Percussion Revolver, 5'' barrel. The top barrel flat is marked ''ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA'', ''COLTS PATENT'' in two lines, on the left side of the frame as well as the Caliber marking. The original wood grips are very good, displaying minor scrapes & dings, with some light staining from typical use. The metal finish has worn to gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina, with some patchy areas of darker brown rust speckling. The cylinder stagecoach scene remains visible, but worn. The trigger guard & backstrap are brass, displaying a light aged patina. Bore is good, but with roughness & light pitting. The barrel holds a worn front bead. The end of the ramrod has a nicely executed brazed repair. Cylinder timing & action appear to function properly. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
