Winchester, Model 1886, .38-56 WCF, MFG. 1892 , SN: 64557, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag., Wood stocks are excellent, solid & original. They display minor to small contusions, scratches & light gouges. The stocks carry the original finish, which has darkened some with use & oiling. The metal finish on barrel & mag has worn mostly gun metal gray, with small remanants of original blue in protected areas & a thin brown patina. The case-hardened receiver, buttplate, lever, hammer & trigger have faded & worn mostly gun metal gray, with some smokey gray outline of faded case-colors & splotches of brown/gray spotting. The rifle is fitted with a great sight package, with period correct Lyman tang sight, adjustable rear sight & elongated brass blade front sight. Bore is excellent & bright. Stock carries the original smooth crescent metal buttplate. Strong, tight action. A solid, honest & original rifle. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 4000 to 6000
