Winchester, Model 71 Deluxe Short Tang, marked 348 W.C.F., MFG: 1957 (Last year of production), SN: 46391, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, 2/3 tube mag holds 4 cartridges. Improved model 1886, with just 47,254 made. The checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, solid & original. The stocks show minor finish level scratches & tiny contusions to the excellent original finish. The original metal blue finish is 98% overall. Upgraded with a Lyman adjustable receiver sight. Barrel carries a folding leaf rear sight & hooded ramp front sight. Factory checkered metal widow's peak buttplate, with the majority of the original blued finish. Bore is excellent & bright. The factory sling mounts carry the correct sling swivels. An excellent & rare Winchester rifle, with deluxe checkered wood. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3000 to 5000
