Marlin, Model 1893, .32-40 Cal. MFG. 1901, SN: 227688, Lever Action Rifle, 28'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are very good & solid, but there is a black peg insert through the wrist & a couple of tight stress cracks emanation off the top & lower tang. There is also a 1' crack at the right front side of forend. There are several minor to small scratches, scrapes & contusions to the wood, but overall they have a very nice appearance. The metal finish has toned to a grayish/brown, with 40% coverage overall. Bore is good, but with some cleaned roughness & scarring amongst strong rifling. The barrel carries an adjustable rear sight & a long blade front sight, which has lots of abrasions, nicks & is slightly bent. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. The rifle has an authentic old west appearance which is quite nice. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
