Marlin, Model 1893, .30-30, Cal. MFG. 1899, SN: 187271, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are fair, but remain solid, after a wrist repair requiring a some lead fill on both sides as seen in pics. The stock also has missing corner chips on both sides where the stock meets the receiver, along with numersous small to large contusions & scrapes to both stock & forend. There is a gap in the wood between the upper comb & the ventilated recoil pad, where the upper tang of the old crescent metal buttplate used to reside. The metal has worn fully gun metal, gray, with a thin brown patina in more protected areas. Bore is very good, wit strong rifling. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & a tall blade front sights. Tight smooth action. A well used old lever, that still has plenty of hunting left in it. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 500
