Description

Marlin, Model 1893 Short Rifle (Carbine), marked 32-40 Cal., MFG. 1901, SN: 223832, Lever Action Rifle, 20 3/4'' Octagon barrel, Marked ''SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL''. Full mag. The original wood stocks are very good & solid, having been previously sanded & carrying an older refinish, which shows lots of minor to small scrapes, scratches & contusions. The metal surfaces has toned/worn mostly gun metal gray, with thin remnants of orginal blue remaining in the protected areas of the barrel. Barrel carries an updated Marbles full buckhorn adjustable rear sight & small front blade sight. Bore is very good, but with some cleaned roughness amongst strong rifling. The stock carries the original crescent metal buttplate. Action remains tight & smooth. A very nice appearance to this short rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
