Remington, Model 600 Carbine, CAL: 222 REM, MFG: 1964, SN: 2796, Bolt Action Rifle, 18 1/2'' barrel. Low serial number & early first year production rifle. The model 600 was designed to be a guide rifle, with it's compact size (short barrel length). A fairly rare rifle as production started in 1964 & ended just three years later in 1967, with just over 94,000 produced in 8 different calibers, the .222 Rem being one of the lowest production calibers. The original checkered, raised comb & flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with several minor to small scuffs & scrapes to the original finish. The metal blue finish rates 95% overall. Bore is excellent. The receiver carries a Leupold M8-4X Gold Ring scope mounted on Redfield rings & rail. The ventilated rib carries the original rear & elevated blade front sights. Buttstock carries a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Dog leg bolt handle. Sling loops. A great compact bolt rifle & set up for hunting season. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1200
